QURAN MEMORIZATION (HIFTH) PROGRAM

This program consists of teaching students, male and female, reading and  memorizing of the Holy  Quran by which they live their daily lives and teach it to others.

Mission:

M&M Academy Hifth Program seeks to empower its students to reach their full potential in reading and memorization of the holy Qur’an with its proper recitation and tajweed, so that they may build a relationship with the book of Allah, in a nurturing environment conducive to student learning, character building and leadership development preserve it.

 

Duration:

A year round program with scheduled summer 2-3 week breaks between the school year and the summer camp. 

-Classes take place 5-Days per week 

-Monday to Thursday:  8:00am to 3:00pm.

-Friday:    8:00am to 1:00pm.

 

Quranic Studies Tracks:

  1. Pre-Hifz Track for Girls & Boys: students in this category will learn how to read the Quran fluently while applying all the tajweed rules. 
  2. Memorization (Hifz) Track for Girls & Boys: M&M Academy Hifth Program offers an opportunity for boys and girls to memorize the Noble Quran with emphasis on proper application of tajweed rules. The entire memorization is targeted to be completed in 3 to 4 years based on the student’s ability to memorize and retain.
  3. Ijazah in Quran Memorization/Hifth: “Ijazah” or “Ijaza” (in Arabic: الإِجازَة) linguistically means “permission”, “authorization”, or “license”. 

In terms of Quran memorization, It is an accredited certificate that grants its holder the authority of transmitting and teaching Quran. This type of Ijazah is granted to Quran students who memorize the Quran perfectly and can recite the whole Quran by heart without any mistake in front of an Ijazah certified Sheikh or Quran Teacher.

Upon completing their Memorization and review, M&M Academy students proceed to obtain their Ijazah with Sheik, Dr. AbdurRazak Muhammed, A scholar from Madinah University. 

 

EVALUATIONS :

Students’ progress is assessed periodically. There are different types of evaluations:

-Memorization: Students in the hifth track are tested upon completion of the memorization of each Juz, students will begin the next Juz only when the current one is perfected. This will continue until the entire Qur’an has been memorized. 

There will be a Final Exam at the end of every quarter which will take place over the course of one week, and an Annual Exam  at the end of every year which will take place over the course of two weeks.

-Review: Students constantly review the memorized Ajzaa’ and are tested on the reviewed Ajzaa’ following a daily testing schedule. 

-Reading & Tajweed: Reading helps students who are memorizing maining their reading fluency & Tajweed. It also serves as a helpful tool for review. Hifth student’s reading fluency and accuracy are assessed daily by a teacher with Ijazah in reading with Tajweed. 

Fees and Application:

The tuition fee for full time students is $6500 per year, payable in 10 installments by the 1st day of every month. The fees for the part time program are $4500.  In addition, there is a one time non-refundable application fee of $50.

Documentation and Communication:

Students' daily progress and assessment results are communicated with parents instantly though the shared google document for each class. 

Parents are required to meet with the teachers at the end of each quarter (parents - teacher conferences)  and when a meeting is requested by the teacher. 



Parental Responsibilities:

  1. Please ensure your child arrives at class on time. 
  2. Your child must spend at least 2 hours in the evening and 45 minutes in the morning before class to revise and practice their lesson. You are advised to set up a schedule to ensure your child is using their time wisely and sufficient time is allocated for their memorization.
  3. It is very important that your child gets adequate rest and has a healthy and nutritious diet. Cold drinks and ice negatively affect the voice and should be avoided.
  4. We encourage you to contact your child’s teacher periodically to follow up on your child's progress. However, teachers cannot meet with parents during school hours.   5. We encourage you to give priority to your child’s memorization of the Quran over any other activities at home. 
  6. After your child has completed the memorization of the Holy Quran, the student must remain in the program for at least 4 months in order to revise their Quran.
